A little image restoration project

Jeanna wanted to give her gram a restored photo for Mothers' Day.  It's her gram and her family when she was young girl.

I hadn't ever done a true Photoshop restoration before - mostly just tweaks.  No real repairs.  This photo had some decent creases and stains on it.  This is about two hours of work.  Not too bad.

Pitcher hangin'

I've had some posters lying around for about a decade that I finally got around to framing up. One is a Shirow Appleseed poster. The other is Gaiman and McKean's Mr. Punch, signed by both. A birthday gift from KoolRock a very long time ago.

The reason it took me so long is both are non-standard dimensions. I ordered the frames custom from PosterFrameDepot.com. I thought I was getting glass for the price I paid, but it turns out to be thin UV plastic (totally my bad).

Nice to finally get these up on the wall.

This trailer made me cry tears of joy and poop my pants at the same time

I can only hope the movie is as good as this. The Silversun Pickups track ("Panic Switch") is perfect for this.

Arcadia Loch Down Scotch Ale

Tasty brown ale much milder than most Scottish ales I've had.

Say, they were serious about that snow thing!

This is the view out front of my place, from my upstairs window.  You can kinda see where the plowing was abandoned.

I would like a workout that combines moving heavy stuff, lifting and using tools.

I'm a little sore today.  It had been a while, but I had a lot of physically-intensive work to do on the new condo.  I feel like the workout I get doing manual labor isn't just more satisfying, but also more useful - it works the parts of my body that do the work, not just the ones I want to look good.

Someone needs to combine this with a workout regimen.  Maybe doing work for charitible organizations.  Think Habitat for Humanity meets the gym membership.

Somebody get their people on this.  I'll accept 25%.

Or I could just go back to the Shovelglove workout.

My Notion Ink shipping date got pushed back AGAIN!

Wow, this really sucks.  My original ship date was yesterday.  Now two more weeks.

You're killing me Notion Ink.  This will mean two full months since I ordered my Adam.

Dear Craig

Greetings from Notion Ink!

We understand that you have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of your Adam. However, we regret to inform you that a fraction of our touch-screens got damaged during transportation due to which your shipment has been effected.

The Chinese New Year holidays that are in the first week of February further add to the delay. However, our touchscreen partner, Sintek, have agreed to work through the holidays and deliver the screens as soon as possible. We are afraid that until we receive these touchscreens, your device would not be ready for shipment.

The estimated date of your shipment would be 14th February 2011 (Buffer included).

In case you need any further assistance, please contact the Notion Ink Support Team at support@notionink.com.

We thank you for your continued patience and co-operation in this matter.

Warm Regards
Notion Ink Support Team
